In the last newsletter, we mentioned something special happening on October 6th. And here it is...

October 6th is WORLD CARD MAKING DAY. (as mentioned in the latest Papercrafts magazine)

You're invited to join us for our very first card class at PIKTAILS.

Saturday, October 6th
11am till 2pm

We'll be making 4 cards and this beautiful tin to hold your creations too. (and other cards too)

The cost of this class is $35.(all materials are provided for this class, but please bring a paper trimmer)

You can sign up for this class by stopping in or calling Debbie or Denise at 407-218-4630.
Classes must be paid for in advance and space is very limited. So, don't wait to get your spot!

Cosmo Cricket, Tinkering Ink, Deja Views and more! That's what we stocked in today at PIKTAILS. You gotta see this stuff...it's sooooooooooooooo much fun! I want at least ONE OF EVERYTHING!!!

Oh oh oh...and don't forget to check out our newest albums that came in today with the Cosmo Cricket stuff. They're small suitcase like boxes...open them up and you'll find a shadow box on one side and an 8x8 album strapped inside to the other side of this "suitcase". We have them in both black and tan. What a great wedding gift, baby gift, travel album these would make. The possibilities are truly endless.

WOW! Look at this sampling of things that have come in this week...

This is just a very small sampling of the goodies we got in this week at PIKTAILS.

Lots of Paint Dabbers, stickles, alcohol inks...in a rainbow of colors...with more to come soon. I've had my alcohol inks for a while and that carrier is just what I need to store them in too. I'd better get mine before they're gone. Oh, and the paint dabbers...I think I need one of every color for my stash. I kept pulling them out of the box and saying "ohhhhh...I like this one...and ohhhhh...this one's really pretty!". The silver and pearl shimmery ones have to be my favorite though!

Creative Imaginations and Melissa Frances both came in yesterday. I just finished my Guitar Hero page and have it displayed in the store. But now that we have the Rockstar Brads, I think I might need to pull it down and add a thing or two. The brads were just one thing from the Creative Imaginations box.

In the Melissa Frances box, we found some GORGEOUS Christmas paper and a Christmas Tree shaped book. The books are just like the circle ones that we have displayed at the store. Ready for your personal touch. These would make a beautiful holiday gift idea.

The store is stocking up nicely these days. If you haven't checked it out recently, you really should stop in to see us. You'd be amazed at all the fun scrappy goodies that we've brought in. I'm like a little one at Christmas time...everytime a box comes in I get excited and can't wait to rip it open to see what's inside. The oohs and ahhhs start almost immediately and then the fun of getting it stocked in and on display begins.

Oh...and I almost forgot...

Cricut Swarm

On Saturday, September 8th, Piktails hosted the Orlando Cricut Swarm. We had 13 avid Scrappers/Cricut users in the store for an all day crop. It was so much fun for us and I think I can safely say that it was great fun for them too.

We really enjoyed having you all spend the day with us on Saturday. Thanks for sharing all of your great tips for using our Cricut. I gotta tell ya...Debbie and I will have a tough time choosing the next cartridge that we want to bring in to the store. And that Expression machine is soooooooo cool! We might need one of those! LOL
We look forward to scheduling your next event with us. We'd love to have you join us again!!

And thanks to the others that came in to crop with us on Saturday, as well. We had a little extra room and were able to welcome other scrappers to join us. If we have space available, you're always welcome to crop at PIKTAILS Give us a call and let us know when to expect you!

The store is really looking good these days! If you haven't been in lately, be sure to stop by to see all the great new products that we've stocked in and put out on display. Some of our latest visitors have been amazed at how much stuff we've gotten in recently.

We've added custom gifts now to purchase. This will be an ever changing selection of items so check in often. Right now there are a few pre-made, photo ready 8x8 albums, a few greeting cards and more. No time to make something for that special someone? We might just have the answer waiting at PIKTAILS for you.

The new Bo-Bunny Take Note class is up on display and the Bo-Bunny Home is Where the Heart Is book is just about finished and ready to show off. Kits are limited for these classes, so get yours soon.

Remember, all travel stuff is on sale right now, 15% off. And there are still quite a few of the Karen Foster Rubons and Embellishments on clearance too. Those are all buy 5 and get a 6Th one free. And the prices on those are already marked to sell. Check them out soon because they won't be there for long!

We've set our dates for the store crops for September. We'll be cropping on September 21st and September 28Th, both nights from 5pm till midnight. These crops are just $5 per person. We can have up to 24 people at a time but it'd be a good idea to pre-pay to save your spot.

We'd also like to say that we're looking forward to meeting the CRICUT SWARM folks this Saturday. I can't wait to see all the great things you all do with those little bugs! I hope to catch a tip or two from some of you and learn how to use our machine more efficiently!

Have you seen Mickey???

For those of you that attended the crop at Piktails last night, August 31st, we thank you for attending and look forward to cropping with you again soon.

Our Cricut machine was rather popular last night and unfortunately, we can't seem to locate the Mickey Font cartridge, including it's box. We are asking that everyone check their bags to see if Mickey went home with you.

At Piktails, we're happy to allow our customers to use our tools and hope that the taking of the cartridge was an honest mistake. If you find it, please give us a call and let us know when you'll be bringing it back to us.

For now, anyway. UPS will be bringing more on Monday and Tuesday too. I've already checked the tracking at UPS.com. We'll be busy this week trying to make room for everything!

It's almost like Christmas!!!

We enjoyed seeing the FedEx and UPS guys today! The brought us all sorts of good stuff. Robin's Nest came in yesterday and today we got Quickuts, EK Success and a few backordered things too. Below is a quick little snippit of what we got...and if you think this is alot, you should come by to see for yourself...this is just a small taste of what we stocked in today!

Be sure to ask about the beautiful new Christmas album too...it has a window on the front...for a picture of your Christmas tree maybe??? It'll look like you're peeking in a window looking at the tree...it's GORGEOUS!!! Oh, and the baby albums in the photo collage...they're PRE-FINISHED. Perfect for a baby shower or new baby gift. Ready for the new mommy to add pictures of her new precious bundle of joy!!

A couple of new classes!!

As mentioned in the last update, we have a couple of new classes on display at the store.

First, is our altered composition book. Great for all ages. The cost of this class is just $12. What a great "mom and me" class idea! Moms, bring the girls (or boys) in for a bit to create this journal. You could always use it to write back and forth to each other to keep those lines of communication open. Or let the girls use it as a diary. There are so many great things that you could use this for. And don't forget...Christmas is JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! (already, LOL)

Thanks Becky, for bringing Anna and Sarah in today to make the journal. I enjoyed having you all here and I think the girls were very pleased with their new books too! Hope to see you again soon!

We're also ready to teach you how to make this adorable TEACHER SURVIVAL kit. You'll create the paint bucket and will receive a list of different things to include inside, to personalize for your teachers. Some of the things that I used are:

Paperclips...to help you hold it all together
Band aids...to heal hurt feelings
Mounds candy bar...for the MOUNDS of info you'll teach
and a few others too....

The possibilities for what you put in your bucket are almost endless. Again, we'll send you home with a list so you'll be able to pick and choose what to use. And I'm sure each and every teacher will be honored to receive such a touching and thoughtful gift.

I'm currently putting together the Bo-Bunny Bags, Tags and Birthday Cards class. I'll get photos of this one up in the next few days or so...along with a couple of other great classes.

Bo Bunny is HERE!!!

Our long awaited order from Bo-Bunny arrived today and with that came our Beautiful Journey kits. There were quite a few people interested in this class so if you are...hurry in to get your kit. We only have 6 left. And remember our class schedule works however you want it to work. Call us and tell us you're coming and we'll have them ready and will assist you in putting the book together. But don't forget your paper trimmer and adhesive. A sanding block will work nicely for this class too. The cost of this class is $45

We received a number of other kits from Bo-Bunny and will be feverishly working on getting these examples done and on display. And check back here too...there might just be photos of each of these as the week progresses.

The class kits weren't all that came in either. We have a BUNCH of new papers, rubons and stickers. Chipboard and ribbons to match the latest lines will be shipped soon too.

Be sure to stop in to see Denise's altered Journal class and you won't want to miss the TEACHER SURVIVAL KIT class too. Just in time for the first day of school. Both of these are on display and ready for you to make. Just give us a call and let us know when you're coming so we'll be ready for ya!

Yep, that's right. We're moving into the blogging world. You can bookmark our blog and check back often, or simply enter your e-mail address to the right and receive an e-mail each time we add an update. This'll keep you up to date on the happenings at our store. We'll let you know when new product arrives, new classes are on display and much much more.
